Trystar is a leader in power distribution, power conditioning, load bank, renewable energy equipment and related services at the heart of supporting our electrical infrastructure. This unique role will be based in Troy, MI and will involve prolonged travel to our Houston, TX as it comes online.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital role in driving the efficiency, quality, and productivity of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing methods, equipment, and systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, you will contribute to the successful production of high-quality Trystar products for our customers. This position requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to optimize manufacturing operations.

In this role you will get to:
- Document electrical testing processes using digital photos, step-by-step instructions, and capturing fastener and tooling requirements
- Independently define and sequence testing tasks
- Develop working knowledge of testing procedures and requirements
- Support Golden Sample builds in Troy and ensure documentation aligns with actual workcontent
- Develop Visual Work Instruction documents for untrained operators
- Work reviewed weekly and aligned with production schedules
- Support training of line workers in Houston during July and August
- Co-sign training logs to support cross-training matrices and Train-the-Trainer methodology
- Update work instructions based on pilot builds in Houston
- Experience in manual assembly, wiring, and electromechanical and/or digital controls
assembly
Proficiency in 3D solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
Ability to work onsite in Troy, MI
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (single-shift operation)
Ability to travel to Houston, TX (Monday–Friday) from July through November 2026, as required
