This role sits at the center of global product strategy, commercial execution, and lifecycle management within a complex diagnostics portfolio. You will define and drive the end-to-end strategy for assay products, from early concept through commercialization, maturity, and portfolio optimization. Operating in a highly cross-functional and international environment, you will shape business cases, financial models, and global distribution and OEM partnership strategies. This position blends strategic leadership with strong analytical rigor, requiring close collaboration with R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams. You will influence how products are positioned, launched, and scaled across global markets while ensuring strong financial performance and operational alignment. This is a high-impact role where your decisions directly shape growth, profitability, and long-term portfolio value.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will own the strategic and financial direction of assay products while driving global commercialization, distribution, and OEM strategy:

  • Develop comprehensive business cases for new products, lifecycle investments, and OEM or distribution expansion opportunities
  • Build multi-year financial forecasts including revenue, margin, pricing strategy, transfer pricing, and scenario modeling
  • Define and execute global market segmentation strategies (TAM/SAM/SOM) and competitive positioning approaches
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept through launch, maturity, and optimization
  • Design and oversee global distribution strategies and OEM partnership frameworks, including contract structure and performance KPIs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) to ensure successful product launches
  • Monitor post-launch performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to improve financial and operational outcomes
  • Analyze market trends, distributor performance, and pricing dynamics to optimize global commercial strategies
  • Support portfolio-level decision-making through data-driven insights and executive-level recommendations
Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong product management leadership with deep financial acumen and experience in diagnostics or laboratory medicine:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced science/business degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Commercial Leadership, Marketing, or Channel Strategy
  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory medicine, with transfusion medicine strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build financial models, P&L forecasts, and complex commercial analyses
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing economics, pricing strategy, and channel margin structures
  • Experience managing global portfolios, distributor networks, or OEM partnerships preferred
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into strategic decisions
  • Strong project management skills in matrixed, global environments
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder influence capabilities
  • High level of autonomy, strategic thinking, and ability to manage competing priorities
