Blackrock Strategy, Inc. is seeking a Travel & Operations Specialist to support employee and consultant travel operations across fast-moving operational and program environments.

This role sits at the intersection of logistics coordination, operational responsiveness, travel execution, and employee support. You will work directly with employees, leadership, program teams, and vendors to coordinate travel logistics, maintain organized documentation, support compliance with travel policy, and help ensure operational activities continue without unnecessary delays or friction.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving logistical challenges, staying organized in dynamic environments, supporting people, and helping teams execute efficiently behind the scenes.


LOCATION REQUIREMENT (NO REMOTE WORK)

This position requires full-time, on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

  • Be willing to relocate prior to the start date

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate travel requests and approvals through Unanet
  • Support travelers with schedule changes, cancellations, and real-time coordination needs
  • Assist employees with travel policy guidance, expense documentation requirements, and reimbursement coordination
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready travel documentation
  • Track itinerary changes, unused ticket credits, and travel-related follow-up items
  • Support compliance with JTR/FTR travel guidelines and company travel procedures
  • Support travel-related reporting, tracking, and administrative follow-through activities


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience supporting travel coordination, operations support, or administrative operations
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems
  • Experience operating in fast-paced or deadline-driven environments
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must reside within commuting distance of Huntsville, AL or be willing to relocate prior to start


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting travel coordination in government, defense, or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with regulated operational or government support environments
  • Familiarity with corporate travel platforms such as Concur, Egencia, or similar tools
  • Experience with Unanet or similar ERP systems
  • Experience supporting travel approvals, expense coordination, or audit-ready documentation
