Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our team, based out of [insert location] location, supporting our Hyperion EECO Richmond plant. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position plays an integral part on the team by delivering exceptional welding services that ensure the structural integrity, safety, and quality of various products. By utilizing advanced welding techniques, adhering to industry standards, and maintaining a commitment to precision and excellence, this role aims to contribute to the successful completion of the manufacturing of a variety of elevator products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Welding and Production o Perform welding tasks with meticulous attention to detail to meet or exceed established procedures and specifications for production requirements. o Use various hand tools, push carts, and machinery to stage work area. o Adhere to assigned production schedule and meet or exceed daily production targets.
Quality Control: o Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures frequently in order to assemble products to meet quality standards. o Inspect parts for defects or irregularities and ensure they meet quality standards. o Collaborate with internal team to determine root cause of a problem and assist in implementing corrective actions. o Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste.
Work Area Maintenance: o Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency. o Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
Safety Compliance: o Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment. o Help leadership identify areas of improvement to establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1-2 years of experience with MIG Welding preferred
Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as a tape measure
Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for up to 8 hours per day
Able to provide personal welding helmet
Prompt and Regular Attendance Required
