B2C Mechanical Inc., (A 100% employee-owned ESOP) is looking to hire an organized, professional Multi-Family Plumbing General Superintendent to join our team.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex plumbing projects from inception to completion. Your expertise in managing resources and coordinating with stakeholders will drive the success of our projects, making a lasting impact in the industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all plumbing activities on multiple construction projects to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications and plumbing codes.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to plan and execute plumbing system installations and repairs.
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of plumbing foremen and crews, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor project progress, track work schedules, and address any issues or delays to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all plumbing personnel.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation as required.
- Participate in project budgeting and cost management to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex plumbing issues and challenges on-site.
- Train and mentor junior staff and apprentices to foster skill development and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on project goals and expectations.
Pay DOE starting at $90,000/Annual
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Proven track record in a supervisory or superintendent role within the plumbing industry.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid plumbing license or certification.
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with budget management and cost control.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50lb. objects upstairs and be able to crawl under tables and climb ladders. Abel to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as scaffolding and high lift equipment.
