Assistant Coach, Softball - Varsity at THE BLAKE SCHOOL – Hopkins, Minnesota

Following the mission of The Blake School and the core purposes of the Athletic Department, the Varsity Girls Softball Assistant Coach will direct, serve and work alongside the Blake School Varsity Softball Head Coach and within the program to support the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.

The Blake Girls Softball Program competes in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference (IMAC), which is part of the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).

• Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and current coaching staff
  
• Assist in all aspects of the varsity softball program
  
• Provide on-field and off-field training opportunities, including instruction, organization, management, and teaching of all players
  
• Support skill development for position players, including pitchers and catchers
  
• Assist with practice planning, game preparation, and other program logistics
  
• Communicate effectively with players and parents in alignment with program expectations
  
• Guide student-athletes interested in playing softball at the collegiate level through the recruitment process
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals and strategies
  
• Coaching experience with demonstrated success at the middle school and/or high school levels
  
• Passion for working with high school-aged student-athletes
  
• Ability to balance team culture and development with individual skill progression
  
• Integrity, fairness, and a commitment to student-athlete growth
