UX Writer (Contract | Part-time) at User Research International

User Research International (URI) is hiring an experienced UX Writer for an enterprise tech client. This is a fully remote, part-time contract (15 hrs/week) for 5 months. You’ll embed with the product team and partner with Design, Research, Product, and Engineering to create clear, user-centered content across mobile and web.

Responsibilities:

• Write UX copy for product experiences (UI text, microcopy, flows, error messages)
• Use research insights and customer data to improve clarity and comprehension
• Collaborate on feature flows, naming/terminology, and in-product messaging
• Coordinate with engineering and localization to ship accurate content on time
• Support AI/ML-powered features with content that’s safe, reliable, and easy to understand

Requirements

• 8+ years in UX writing/content design/content strategy
• Proven experience with AI/ML workflows, internal platforms, and complex system logic (permissions, configs, error states).
• Proven experience using AI-assisted coding or low-code tools to "vibe code".
• Ability to hold your own in technical reviews and provide crisp, logic-driven specs for developer handoffs.
• A track recorded of establishing terminology standards and UX writing heuristics for technical products.
• Excellent writing/editing; able to simplify complex concepts

Salary

• Hourly salary $55-$70
