We are currently seeking Protective Coatings Operators-Applicators join our team in Tampa, FL. As a Protective Coatings Operator/Applicator, you will be responsible for the operation and daily maintenance of various plural component pumping systems. You will also be expected to know and perform the operation/maintenance of both the cementitious rig and the epoxy rig. We provide an extensive training program allowing operators the opportunity for success.

Starting pay is $22.00-$26.00 per hour dependent upon experience. Candidates with enough industry experience may be able to negotiate a higher starting rate.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate the plural component system in a wide variety of conditions
• Apply 100% solids epoxies to a wide range of substrates in various environments/conditions
• Work includes but is not limited to operating trucks with pumping equipment around underground pipes to potholes, trenching, and locating utilities
• Maintain equipment and keep it clean inside and out
• Open and close storm grates and sewer manholes
• Perform general labor duties when not operating equipment
• Effectively read maps/prints
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Document all services performed on the job
• Mechanically inclined - conduct minor repairs to equipment

What We Need From You:

• Valid driver’s license required with clean motor vehicle report
• 6+ months of experience operating equipment in and around utilities
• Experience working with underground utility construction and applying epoxies is preferred
• Class A or B CDL license would be a plus, but not required
• Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools
• Comfortable entering manholes and working in confined spaces
• Ability to work weekends and out of town when needed
• Ability to travel weekly and work 50-60 hours per week
