About This Position

Description:

Medix Infusion is seeking an Intake Support team member to join our team in Addison, TX. This entry-level position is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support to the Intake department. The primary duties of this role include conducting outbound welcome calls to patients, providing status updates to patients and provider offices, accurately documenting information within the EMR system, and assisting with departmental workflows. The position may also involve supporting inbound call handling and other team functions as needed.

This is an on-site position in Addison, TX, or remote. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexible hours. During training, candidates must be available during standard business hours (8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. CST). After training, adjusted schedules may be considered (e.g., 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.), but no earlier than 9:00 a.m. CST, as introductory calls begin at 9:00 a.m. CST (7:00 a.m. Pacific).

Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform dedicated to enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies. We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, particularly those in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, ensuring each patient’s journey is as smooth as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound welcome calls to newly referred patients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide clear and accurate status updates to patients and/or provider offices.
  • Document all patient interactions and required information in the EMR system.
  • Complete required EMR fields, tasks, and checklists to ensure the accurate processing of referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist other team members and departments as needed to support overall workflow.
  • Answer inbound calls as assigned and route calls appropriately.
  • Escalate concerns or complex issues to the appropriate team members or leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of administrative, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls in a high-volume environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, courteous, and team-oriented attitude.
