Frank Liquor Company in Middleton, WI is now hiring a 1st shift Warehouse Associate - Beer Picker. The team members of Frank Liquor Company are committed, innovative leaders of the beverage industry through marketing, selling, distributing, merchandising, and servicing quality products to our valued customers.
The Warehouse Associate – Beer Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and building customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position ensures product accuracy, maintains warehouse organization, follows safety standards, and supports overall operational efficiency to meet customer delivery timelines.
Requirements:Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Accurately locate and pick beer products for customer orders using voice-picking systems and warehouse scanners.
2. Build stable, correctly layered pallets according to company palletization and safety standards.
3. Verify product codes, quantities, and packaging to ensure order accuracy.
4. Verify product and quantities in the stop sorter prior to clearing the lane. Quantities must be verified for accuracy even if the lane indicator shows green.
5. Report any missing, damaged, or unreadable location tags to a supervisor immediately to prevent picking errors and inventory discrepancies.
6. Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other approved warehouse equipment as assigned.
7. Complete required forklift and power equipment inspection logs at the beginning of each shift and report any mechanical or safety concerns immediately.
8. Remove shrink wrap, empty pallets, breakage, and debris from pick and staging areas while working. Empty pallets must be neatly stacked and separated by pallet type once removed from a pick location.
9. Immediately handle breakage by cleaning up product safely, disposing of damaged goods properly, and reporting and adjusting inventory as required.
10. Immediately secure and isolate broken liquor product. Remove bottles from damaged cartons, wipe down and clean each bottle to remove glass or residue, properly repackage or dispose of product according to company standards, and notify supervision for proper inventory adjustment and transfer handling.
11. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift and participate in end-of-shift cleaning expectations.
12. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged product, or unsafe conditions to supervision promptly.
13. Assist with loading operations, replenishment tasks, or other warehouse duties as assigned.
14. Must be willing to cross-train and perform duties in other warehouse departments as operational demands require.
15. Follow all warehouse safety policies, equipment operation guidelines, and company procedures.
16. Other duties as assigned, which may include roles and responsibilities from all other warehouse departments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
4. Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with supervisors and coworkers.
5. Basic computer and hand-held scanner proficiency.
6. Ability to read and interpret pick documents and warehouse instructions.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred.
2. Experience in warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
3. Ability to obtain company forklift and equipment certifications.
