About This Position
Abbotsford Nissan is seeking a strategic, data-driven Marketing Strategist to lead and execute our digital marketing efforts across social media, website performance, SEO, and paid advertising.
This is a hands-on, performance-oriented role for someone who understands that marketing must drive measurable results — traffic, leads, appointments, and sales. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced automotive environment, can connect creative execution with business performance, and takes ownership from strategy through reporting.
Role OverviewThe Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that support dealership sales objectives, brand positioning, and revenue growth. This role oversees social media, website management, paid media campaigns, analytics, vendor coordination, and digital performance optimization.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning- Define social media and digital marketing goals aligned with dealership brand and sales objectives
- Develop platform-specific strategies across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Build and maintain monthly content calendars
- Plan campaigns supporting promotions, inventory pushes, events, launches, and seasonal initiatives
- Align campaigns with inventory availability, OEM guidelines, and VSA direction
- Create original content including images, videos, reels, stories, and captions
- Schedule and publish content across all platforms
- Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and visual standards
- Coordinate creative assets with internal teams or external vendors
- Monitor comments, direct messages, and mentions daily
- Respond to inquiries and reviews promptly and professionally
- Manage online reputation and moderate engagement
- Escalate qualified sales and service leads to the appropriate department
- Develop and execute paid media strategies across Google, Meta, YouTube, and other platforms
- Build campaigns for new vehicle, used vehicle, service, and special offers
- Allocate budgets to maximize cost per lead (CPL) and lead quality
- Monitor daily spend, targeting, creatives, impressions, clicks, and conversions
- Adjust bids, budgets, and audience targeting based on performance
- A/B test creatives, messaging, audiences, and landing pages
- Continuously optimize campaigns to improve efficiency and ROI
- Track KPIs including reach, engagement, traffic, leads, conversions, and cost metrics
- Analyze user behavior, funnel performance, and campaign attribution
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Stay current with platform updates, digital trends, and algorithm changes
- Update new and used inventory listings daily
- Ensure accurate pricing, incentives, VINs, and vehicle details
- Maintain vehicle photo and description standards
- Optimize VDPs for engagement and conversion
- Align website content with marketing campaigns and promotions
- Monitor website uptime, speed, and mobile responsiveness
- Test forms, CTAs, chat tools, tracking pixels, and integrations
- Troubleshoot broken links and functionality issues
- Implement on-page SEO including titles, meta descriptions, and structured data
- Optimize landing pages, service pages, and VDP content
- Monitor keyword rankings and organic traffic performance
- Identify SEO growth opportunities
- Act as primary contact for website providers and digital vendors
- Ensure OEM brand compliance and co-op requirements
- Coordinate updates, enhancements, and issue resolution
- Monitor CRM, chat systems, inventory feeds, and tracking integrations
- Ensure conversion tracking accuracy across platforms
- Monitor competitor marketing and social activity
- Identify differentiation opportunities and content gaps
- Evaluate market positioning and promotional strategy
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or performance marketing
- Experience managing paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.)
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and website optimization
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, CRM reporting)
- Strong copywriting and creative development skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
- Automotive or dealership marketing experience is a strong asset
- Consistent growth in traffic and qualified leads
- Strong CPL performance and campaign ROI
