The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. This position will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of complex datasets to uncover valuable insights and trends, developing and maintaining robust data models, ensuring data quality and governance, creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation, providing technical support to both internal and external stakeholders, identifying opportunities for process improvement, conducting gap analysis, and developing actionable recommendations to address identified gaps and improve performance.

What does a day in the life of a Business Intelligence Analyst look like?
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze call center data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making
  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop comprehensive reports and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Looker/Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Data Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments (e.g., operations, HR, customer service) to understand their data needs and requirements
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and analyses
  • Data Modeling: Assist in designing and maintaining data models to support BI reporting and analysis
  • Automation: Develop automated data pipelines and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization based on data analysis and insights
  • Gap Analysis: Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current performance and desired outcomes
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs
  • Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What are the required qualifications of a Business Intelligence Analyst?

  • Bachelor Degree in Statistics, Computer Science or related field, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service
  • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Looker/Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik), data analysis techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R), and statistical analysis methods
  • Strong ability to create clear, concise, and visually appealing data visualizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings to stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address data-related challenges
  • Understanding of business processes and metrics to provide valuable insights.
