Field Technician IV

Our work depends on Field Technician IV joining our team to ensure MK 41 VLS equipment is maintained and tested to the stringent VLS requirements to maintain National Security.

HOW A FIELD TECHNICIAN IV WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.
• Will work with GDIT VLS Team to ensure operational status of contracted VLS work is completed to required procedures and specifications.
• Will work with GDIT VLS Team to identify and correct any deficiencies found.
• Will work with a competitive and highly trusted GDIT VLS Team.
• The support the GDIT VLS Team provides ensures both the Fleet and VLS Program are maintained to the highest of standard.
• As a VLS SMT you be expected to be a leader, a mentor, and subject matter expert(SME) will conducting yourself in representing GDIT and our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Required Experience: 5+ years of VLS related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Must have SMT card
• Security Clearance Level: Will require Secret
• Required Skills and Abilities: Hands-on experience with MK41 VLS equipment and previous experience with overhauls in accordance with Intermediate Maintenance Standard (IMS)
• Preferred Skills: Previous shipboard experience, knowledge of operating a forklift, and use of hand and power tools
• Location: Chesapeake, VA
• US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $34.00 - $46.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
