POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Metal Department Kitter

REPORTS:

JOB SUMMARY: The Kitter is responsible for working with areas within the metal plant and other departments to ensure product and inventory is dispersed and allocated appropriately.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory

• Identify and report damaged product found while performing counts

• Research inventory discrepancies

• Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)

• Solve complex problems and deal with a variety of inventory control situations.

• Perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures.

• Capability of and willingness to use warehouse machinery (scissor lift, forklifts etc.)

• Develop and maintain working relationships with Supervisors, Managers, and fellow associates within the facility.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED

Competencies:

• Fluent in MS Office and Excel

• Demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Strong organization and problem-solving skills; a strong team player
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles and operations
