☀️ Day Shift
- 10-hour shifts starting between 5–6 AM
🌙 Night Shift (starting at 5 PM) — 25% Differential
- Monday–Friday: 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
- Monday–Thursday: 10-hour or 12-hour shifts

What You’ll Do
You’re the first step in the surface finishing process — and that makes you critical. Your skill and precision with blast equipment sets up every downstream operation for success. At GTC, we take that seriously, and so do you.
- Operate sand and grit blast equipment to clean and prep metallic surfaces to exact customer specifications
- Apply precision masking to parts per customer blueprints — detail matters here
- Position and rotate material to ensure complete, consistent blast coverage on all required surfaces
- Use overhead cranes, hand trucks, and tow-motors to move material in and out of the booth safely and efficiently
- Dial in the air-to-abrasive mixture for each job’s specific requirements
- Monitor and record humidity and temperature conditions to meet customer spec requirements
- Service equipment proactively — refill tanks, replace worn nozzles, empty collectors, and swap filters
- Keep PPE in top condition and wear it properly — every shift, no exceptions
- Keep the incoming whiteboard current so the team always knows what’s coming next
- Actively seek out additional work to stay productive and keep the floor moving
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in a blast booth is a strong advantage — but hands-on time in finishing, paint booths, or metal mills counts too
- Ability to read blueprints and follow customer specifications with precision
- 1+ year of forklift experience
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs independently and 75 lbs with assistance
- Ability to control a blast hose at 90–100 PSI and work on your feet for 8–12 hour shifts
- Ability to pass a pulmonary test and wear a respirator comfortably for extended periods
- Comfortable working independently in a booth environment — focused, self-directed, and productive
