We’re a global video and lighting service provider delivering world class solutions for exhibitions, concerts, touring, conferences, theatre, TV, film and retail.

We’re Looking for a Rigging Inspector & Prep Lead to oversee the preparation, inspection, and compliance of all rigging and lifting equipment across our UK operation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with deep technical knowledge in rigging and lifting gear, who enjoys mentoring a team and ensuring safe, reliable, and project ready.

The role will initially involve travel to our Blackburn premises, as our warehouse is relocating. From summer onwards the role will be based in Hertford. Travel costs associated with this transition will be covered by the company.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor the Rigging Prep Team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Prep, inspect, and maintain rigging, motors, hoists, truss, chains, slings and shackles.
  • Manage LOLER inspections, keeping audit ready records.
  • Oversee equipment allocation, stock organisation, and warehouse operations.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and ensure all equipment meets operational safety standards.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and sustainable workspace while supporting wider warehouse activities.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in theatrical rigging and lifting equipment, including electric motors.
  • LEAA qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience leading, motivating and mentoring a small team.
  • Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, and inspection compliance.
  • Clear written and spoken English for record keeping and communication.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg and working in an active warehouse environment.
  • Positive, organised and team focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to Blackburn initially, before relocation to Hertford.

Location & Travel: Initially based in Blackburn (travel covered), relocating to Hertford in summer.

If you’re a technically skilled leader who thrives on hands on work and safety compliance, this could be the next step in your career, apply now.
