Position Overview
We’re looking for a Project Engineer – MEP to join our Engineering team. In this role, you’ll design, support and manage the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components of complex building projects throughout New York City. You’ll work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to help deliver compliant, high-quality MEP systems that meet both technical and client expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Design & manage MEP scopes of work from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Coordinate with third party consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project deliverables.
- Review MEP drawings and documents for code compliance and constructability.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and provide field coordination & field reports
- Ensure MEP installations meet safety, quality, and code standards.
- Support internal reporting and documentation efforts.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to drive successful project outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing or coordinating MEP systems in building design or construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working with architectural and engineering teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and design software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Working knowledge of NYC building codes and permitting processes.
Preferred:
- PE license
- Engineer In Training (EIT) or working toward a PE license.
- Industry related credentials such as: Project Management, Energy, and Commissioning related credentials.
