Established in 2008 in the heart of Mansonville village, in the Township of Potton in Estrie, NexKemia Petrochemicals Inc. is a manufacturing company specializing in expandable polystyrene (EPS) beads. These EPS beads are produced using two processes: reactor or extrusion. Nexkemia has been manufacturing EPS beads using the reactor process since its inception in 2008, while the extrusion process was introduced in 2022. The company offers EPS beads with or without flame retardants, used for various types of packaging as well as insulation materials in the construction industry.

Job Summary:

The intern will be responsible for assisting production team members in the extrusion or reactor sectors.

The intern will support operators during commercial production of different product grades by ensuring the availability of required chemicals, monitoring operational equipment parameters, and overseeing operations.

The intern will participate in the coating stages of the beads, which determine specific properties required for expansion and molding.

The intern will conduct production tests to confirm that the EPS beads meet the expected specifications.
