Based in Vietnam, ST3 factory (Phu Tan ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong province)

MAIN MISSIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As RID developer, you are part of the RID Asia team, and you report to the RID Senior Developer Product & Packaging Vietnam.

You will support RID teams in laboratory and pilot activities and you will contribute to product and packaging development projects.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Organizing, maintaining and ensuring proper operation of the laboratory and ingredients inventory.
• Planning and conducting laboratory prototypes in compliance with defined protocols
• Preparing raw materials and packaging materials required for lab tests, prototypes and trials
• Supporting trial run (both product & packaging) in full collaboration with production teams, providing structured updates on trial results
• Leading and executing Best Before Date (BBD) qualification activities, proactively identifying and highlighting potential risks, providing clear, fact-based reports and conclusions.
• Participating as team members in development projects as needed (product, process, packaging) by ensuring all technical tasks are followed up, completed on time, compliance with Bel's project management methodology, from ideation to industrialization.
• Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of lab and trial activities
• Complying with quality, food safety, and HSE standards at all times

Management / Coordination activities

• Main stakeholders: Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Nutrition, Plant technologist, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, expertise, PEC teams, Brand teams Dev Product Manager Hub Asia

Key performance indicators and impact on results (qualitative and quantitative)

• Laboratory activities delivered on time and in full, strive for excellence while balancing project priorities and compliance
• Trial activities delivered on time in full with high accuracy, along with structured reports providing clear data, observation and recommendations.
• Launch product, process and package OTIF and at the right quality level
• Project management excellence: ensuring technical tasks are well executed and delivered on time in full; potential risks are proactively highlighted and properly discussed.

PROFILE

Required background and/or level of professional experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, and/or equivalent experience required.
• 2 – 5 years experience in R&D product and process development, Dairy Industry background, cheese is a plus that will be valued
• Development project tracking record
• International background / experience working for a Global company is a plus
• English fluent is a must

Required competencies:

• In-depth passion for innovation, strong ownership and dedication
• Good knowledge of food chemistry, ingredients functionality, recipe development, constantly striving for excellence in taste, texture, nutritional profiles and cost of new products development.
• Experience with pilot plant equipment, industrial dairy processing
• Structured mindset and knowledge of project management process, experience in managing project timelines, identify technical risks.
• Technical knowhow from exploration to production (product, process, and pack)
• Technical packaging (material & equipment) knowledge cardboard box, aluminum, plastics is a plus
• Connected to external ecosystem and partnership environment.
