About This Position

Azure AI Solutions Developer
Job Type: FTE
Location: Remote (can sit anywhere in the US)
Overview
The Azure AI Solutions Developer will lead the creation of AI-powered cloud solutions leveraging Cyclotron's proven implementation methodology for enterprise projects, as well as contributing to technical pre-sales activities as required. You will be responsible for designing solution architecture, requirement definition, and leading on technical delivery. This position requires both deep Azure platform expertise and AI-native engineering practices—treating AI as a force multiplier in daily work, not a novelty or occasional assistant.
The ideal candidate has moved beyond simple utilization of AI tools and instead leans into their use continuously. They possess deep knowledge of context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic architectures—and crucially, they know when these approaches are not required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI-enabled cloud solutions on Azure, including agentic systems, Copilot Studio implementations, and Azure OpenAI integrations
  • Architect scalable, secure cloud applications with appropriate use of Azure services (App Services, Container Apps, Functions, API Management, Key Vault)
  • Build reusable AI workflows
  • Interpret business requirements into functional and technical requirements, translating stakeholder needs into working solutions
  • Lead technical delivery teams, providing guidance on architecture decisions, code quality, and AI integration patterns
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders from C-suite to end users, communicating technical concepts appropriately for each audience
  • Collaborate across sales, service delivery, and project management organizations in service to Cyclotron's clients
  • Contribute to technical pre-sales activities, including solution design, effort estimation, and client presentations
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years software development experience with focus on cloud applications
  • 3+ years architecting and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure
  • 1+ years technical team leadership or technical management experience
  • Current Azure certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or AI Engineer preferred)
  • Demonstrated daily use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) as integral workflow tools
Technical Skills
Azure Platform: App Services, Container Apps, Functions, API Management, Application Gateway, Key Vault, Entra ID, Log Analytics, Application Insights
AI Services: Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search / AI Search, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Agent Service, Document Intelligence
Development: C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript; RESTful API design, Bicep, ARM, Terraform
DevOps: Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, AKS/ACA)
Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, vector databases, data modeling for AI applications
AI Workflow Integration
  • History of using AI tools to multiply personal output - Can describe specific workflows where AI handles execution while maintaining architectural control
  • Established verification discipline. Runs and tests AI-generated outputs, asks for reasoning not just results, understands failure modes
  • Active engagement with emerging AI capabilities. Tracks what's new, evaluates applicability, adopts with judgment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio)
  • Familiarity with Semantic Kernel, Prompty, or similar orchestration approaches
  • Experience implementing RAG architectures in production
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or equivalent experience
What we Offer
  • Opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI with a team of Microsoft technology specialists
  • Engaged leadership
  • Professional growth driven by complex, forward-looking, real-world challenges
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and continuing education opportunities
