About This Position
The Planner serves as the bridge between engineering specifications and production execution. As a key strategic contributor, the planner is responsible for translating complex engineering designs into actionable manufacturing instructions while embodying Knight Aerospace's core values and commitment to exceptional customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Create and maintain comprehensive job instructions within the company enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
· Develop and maintain operation workflow sequencing of jobs
· Develop a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) with precision and accuracy
· Analyzing released BOMs to Production Control for stock verification
· Provide updated BOMs to the Purchasing department
· Ensure consistency and accuracy of all manufacturing documentation
· Collaborate with Production Control to optimize manufacturing operation sequencing and requirements
· Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturing operations align with technical drawings

· Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and report information
Educational Background
· High school diploma or GED (required)
· An associate degree or higher, or an equivalent certification with relevant experience, is preferred
· A background in manufacturing is highly valued
Communication and Technical Skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to interact effectively with planning relevant stakeholders
