About This Position

Position Overview

The Superintendent is responsible for the on-site execution and supervision of reconstruction projects from start to completion. This role provides jobsite direction, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved scope, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The Superintendent serves as the primary field point of contact and provides consistent communication regarding progress, constraints, and field-driven changes to the Project Director.

Key Responsibilities

Field Execution & Supervision

  • Coordinate and supervise all on-site reconstruction activities
  • Schedule labor, subcontractors, materials, and inspections
  • Oversee field personnel and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship
  • Perform hands-on work when necessary to maintain project momentum

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections for quality, safety, and compliance
  • Perform Job Hazard Assessments and address safety issues promptly
  • Ensure work meets approved scope, code requirements, and inspection standards

Project Coordination & Reporting

  • Communicate job progress, issues, and scope impacts to the Project Director
  • Track project status and maintain accurate documentation, photos, and reports
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and punch lists
  • Certify completion of work and support project closeout activities

Customer Interaction & Support

  • Support positive customer experience through professional on-site interaction
  • Reinforce project timelines and execution expectations
  • Address field-level customer questions and concerns as appropriate

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong jobsite direction and crew coordination abilities
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and trade processes
  • Strong attention to quality, safety, and detail
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and priorities
  • Working knowledge of project documentation and technology tools

Qualifications

  • 2-4+ years of experience in construction and/or restoration field leadership
  • Experience supervising crews and subcontractors
  • Ability to read scopes of work, blueprints, and project documentation
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and jobsite compliance standards
  • Valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy
