Companion Caregiver at CareOne Senior Care – Lake Orion, Michigan

Immediate Opening: Caregiver – Lake Orion, MI

CareOne Senior Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver to support a client in the Lake Orion area.

Schedule

• Wednesdays & Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Sundays: 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM

• Additional shifts may become available

Position Overview
This role focuses on companionship and community engagement. The caregiver will accompany the client on outings, including community activities and church on Saturdays, as well as provide companionship at the group home as needed.

If the client prefers to remain home, responsibilities will include engaging in activities such as conversation, games, and television. Caregivers should remain flexible and responsive to the client’s preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation

• Support clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s care needs

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene)

• Perform safe transfers (training provided)

• Transport client to outings, appointments, and activities

• Ensure client safety, dignity, and comfort at all times

Transportation Requirement

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Must be comfortable driving a client-provided vehicle

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and assist with mobility

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Access to a mobile phone for communication

• Must pass a background check

• TB test required (can be completed after interview)
