Work site: 1234 Indiana Street & SF Behavioral Health Services clinics/sites
Status: Part-time, Nonexempt (20 hrs + per diem per week)

POSITION OPEN ONLY TO CONSUMERS/PARTICIPANTS OF THE SAN FRANCISCO COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Vocational Training Programs Manager, the Vocational Training Programs Assistant provides overall administrative & programmatic support, as well as training & coaching support to program participants.
Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide job coaching support through guiding & assisting participants with developing workplace skills (e.g. task training, effective communications w/co-workers, compliance training, navigation of the work environment); communicate participant job accommodation needs to program/site staff.
- Participant/program related data input & tracking.
- Collaborate with participants & program/site staff to determine necessary training for participants.
- Provide individual check in and training program coverage when needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service training and other staff development activities.
- Assist with planning and coordinating event operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Two years of experience providing mental health support services to mental health clients.
- At least two years of direct, personal lived experience with the community behavioral health system, preferably in San Francisco.
- HS Diploma; AA Degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, highly preferred.
- Two years of administrative/clerical experience in an office setting; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), calendaring, data input, typing speed of 50 WPM.
- Excellent verbal, written communications; ability to interact with culturally diverse participants, staff, including those with mental health/behavioral challenges.
- Ability to travel to different locations/worksites within the City and County of San Francisco.
- Knowledge of SF community resources for health, mental health, substance abuse, Social Security, legal, benefits counseling, and other services, strongly preferred.
