About This Position

Description:

Position: Front Desk Monitor, Garden House

Reports to: Program Director

Location: Manhattan (East Village)

Schedule: Sundays through Thursdays (11:00pm-7:00am)

Tasks:

  • Monitors the entry and egress of building residents and guests.
  • Responsible for taking telephone messages for the residents and staff of the building.
  • Responsible for the distribution of resident mail.
  • Provides the first line of defense in case of emergencies; (i.e. calling management, the fire department in case of a fire, etc.), assists with crisis intervention and building evacuation.
  • Conducts building rounds throughout shift.
  • Accurately records resident events, incidents, and building walkthrough observations in the Front Desk Logbook.
  • Monitors and documents client self-administration of medication, according to program policy and procedures.
  • Report incidents or behavioral changes in residents to on-call staff.
  • Assists with client cooperative meal plan as applicable.
  • Attends training as requested by supervisory staff.
  • Provides front desk coverage at other ACMH residential locations as assigned, based on program needs.
  • Maintains a calm, respectful, and professional demeanor when interacting with residents, staff members, and visitors.
  • Duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:

High school diploma and the ability to work with people and the ability to take responsibility to carry out the duties of the position. Willingness to cover front desk shifts at multiple ACMH residential locations as needed.

Full-time Salary: $41,600
