VP, Corporate Development

This executive role offers the opportunity to lead strategic growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships. You will shape the corporate development agenda and influence enterprise-wide strategy while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the board. The role requires hands-on execution of deal sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and integration planning. You will collaborate across functions including finance, legal, product, and sales to maximize organizational impact. This position combines high-level strategic leadership with operational accountability, enabling the company to scale efficiently and capture new market opportunities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, can navigate complex transactions, and has a track record of successfully executing corporate development initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead end-to-end M&A processes, including target identification, early screening, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, and integration planning
  • Build, manage, and prioritize a robust M&A pipeline aligned with strategic growth objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across finance, product, sales, legal, HR, and executive leadership to ensure smooth execution of transactions
  • Develop and present business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations to the CEO, CFO, and board
  • Identify and implement process improvements for corporate development activities to drive efficiency and business growth
  • Manage relationships with external parties, including investment banks, private investment firms, M&A advisors, and potential partners
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive M&A playbook covering sourcing, evaluation, prioritization, due diligence, integration, and post-deal monitoring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of experience in strategy, finance, investment banking, or relevant business roles, including 3-5 years in corporate development
  • Experience in SaaS or technology-driven businesses preferred
  • Proven track record in end-to-end transaction execution, including valuations, due diligence, investment memoranda, deal structuring, negotiations, and integration
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with expertise in assessing market potential, business opportunities, and financial metrics (growth, margins, EBITDA, etc.)
  • Ability to navigate diverse stakeholders, including executives and board members, and influence decision-making effectively
  • Experience managing external advisors such as investment banks, legal counsel, and accountants
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive strategic initiatives across functions
