This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and grow a high-impact compliance advisory practice across financial institutions. The role involves leading complex, large-scale programs in KYC, sanctions, AML, and fraud risk management while building trusted executive relationships. You will drive strategic initiatives, influence C-suite stakeholders, and oversee high-performing teams to deliver measurable operational and regulatory outcomes. The position combines business development, client advisory, and thought leadership, offering both autonomy and a collaborative environment where your expertise directly drives organizational growth and client success.
- Lead and expand the compliance advisory practice with a focus on financial crime, including KYC, sanctions, AML, and fraud risk management.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders across compliance, risk, legal, operations, and executive leadership.
- Originate, lead, and deliver large-scale transformation, remediation, and advisory programs, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong client satisfaction.
- Oversee multiple concurrent engagements, including KYC transformation, sanctions risk assessments, AML program optimization, and fraud risk strategy.
- Drive business development by identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, leading pursuits, and expanding existing client accounts.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships across banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, fintechs, and other financial institutions.
- Mentor, develop, and lead senior consultants and multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Advise clients on regulatory expectations, industry best practices, and pragmatic approaches to compliance program enhancement.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred (e.g., CAMS, CFE, CFCS).
- 15+ years of experience in consulting, financial services, or both, with deep focus on financial crime compliance.
- Extensive expertise in KYC, sanctions, AML, and fraud, including regulatory expectations, operating models, controls, and technology enablement.
- Proven track record leading large, complex programs within highly regulated environments.
- Established professional network in financial services with the credibility to influence senior executives.
- Demonstrated success in business development, including originating and expanding advisory engagements.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience building, mentoring, and overseeing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred: Experience with regulatory remediation, monitorships, enforcement programs, compliance technology platforms, target operating model design, or process optimization.
