About This Position

The HR Administrator supports the day to day administrative functions of Human Resources to ensure smooth and compliant HR operations across the company. This role assists with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and employee support while helping maintain Fresh Start’s strong culture and core values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
  • Assist with recruiting efforts including posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and maintaining candidate records
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings as needed
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain applicant tracking records and hiring documentation
  • Coordinate full cycle onboarding
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Assist with employee offboarding and documentation
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, and questions
  • Assist with internal HR communications and surveys
  • Respond to employee HR inquiries and direct appropriate questions to Leadership
  • Assist with maintaining HR policies, procedures, and internal documentation
  • Provide administrative support related to employee relations matters, coaching documentation, and disciplinary records
  • Maintain HR data

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • General knowledge of HR practices.
  • Excellent people skills and professional demeanor
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a HR role
  • General knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, evaluations)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General knowledge of federal and state labor laws
  • Microsoft Office proficient: Specifically, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Excellent understanding of computer use
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to work alone and with a team
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Present a professional image in dress, grooming, and demeanor
  • Must adhere to the company policies in the Fresh Start Contracting company handbook
