This is a highly proactive, outbound sales role, perfect for someone who enjoys “pounding the pavement,” engaging the public, and turning conversations into ticket sales.

About Us

Pirate Water Taxi offers a fun, pirate-themed hop-on, hop-off experience along Tampa’s scenic waterways, connecting guests to top destinations along the Riverwalk. As part of Manthey Hospitality, we are committed to delivering memorable, high-energy experiences with a strong focus on guest service.

What You’ll Do

• Greet guests and provide accurate information on schedules, routes, pricing, and policies
• Actively engage the general public along the riverwalk and surrounding areas
• “Pound the pavement” to generate interest and drive same-day ticket sales
• Initiate conversations, overcome objections, and close sales on the spot
• Promote upgrades, premium experiences, and cross-brand offerings
• Distribute wristbands and/or boarding passes, and assist with wayfinding and boarding
• Support crowd flow and manage sales traffic during peak times
• Process electronic POS transactions accurately
• Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready booths
• Communicate with operations regarding capacity and scheduling
• Restock brochures and supplies
• Assist with special events and other operational needs as required

• Strong outbound sales mindset—you are comfortable approaching and engaging strangers
• Confidence in selling, handling objections, and closing deals
• Motivation to hit and exceed sales goals (uncapped earning potential)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Accuracy and accountability with POS transactions
• Attention to detail in guest interactions and boarding processes
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-traffic environments
• Pride in maintaining a professional and inviting sales space

Physical & Schedule Requirements

• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, sun, cold, wind, rain)
• Comfortable in high-traffic, guest-facing environments
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light supplies

Compensation & Benefits

• $15/hour base pay + 3% uncapped commission on all sales
