About This Position
University Physicians’ Association is seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Team Lead to join University Women’s Specialists in Knoxville, TN. This full-time role, which rotates among UWS satellite offices throughout the Knoxville area, is well suited for a healthcare professional who excels in a leadership role and is committed to supporting patients, providers, and clinical staff in a fast-paced medical office setting.
The Clinical Team Lead plays an integral role in ensuring efficient clinic operations while building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with physicians, team members, patients, and their families. This position helps lead by example, modeling and reinforcing a welcoming, organized, and patient-centered culture across all clinic locations.
Schedule- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- Ensure smooth and efficient clinic flow across all areas
- Coordinate daily staffing coverage to meet clinic needs
- Train new team members on office policies, procedures, and workflows
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to the Office Supervisor when appropriate
- Support the Office Supervisor by monitoring team member performance and identifying training or improvement opportunities
- Assist with the annual performance evaluation process
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Office Supervisor
- Strong communication, organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
- 1–2 years of medical office experience required
- Prior Team Lead or supervisory experience preferred
