About This Position
The Banquet Manager oversees all banquet operations by supervising, training, and scheduling staff to ensure exceptional service and flawless event execution. This role works closely with the Food & Beverage Director and follows all details outlined in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure guests receive professional, timely, and high‑quality service. The Banquet Manager maintains staff grooming standards, supports onboarding, conducts evaluations, and provides ongoing coaching to foster strong teamwork. They coordinate with multiple departments, communicate clearly with guests, clients, and vendors, and ensure all event changes are relayed promptly. Responsibilities include monitoring banquet rooms for safety and service quality, preparing weekly BEO packets, verifying final billing accuracy, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations and wage and hour laws. The Banquet Manager also oversees equipment maintenance, linen inventory, opening and closing procedures, and monthly counts of china, glassware, and silverware. Success in this role requires strong customer service skills, professionalism under pressure, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Physical demands include lifting up to 35 lbs., working indoors and outdoors, and navigating various areas of the property. A positive attitude, strong communication abilities, and commitment to guest satisfaction are essential.
Required Qualifications
-High school diploma or GED required
-Two years of banquet service
-Must be able to speak, read and write in English
-Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificate and Food handler’s card
