NexGreen Lawn Care is hiring a Field Tech Assistant to support our lawn care crews in Sterling Heights, MI.

Career Growth Opportunity:

This role is designed for someone who is career-minded and looking to grow, not just a short-term job. While you’ll start as a Field Tech / Driver / Crew Support, you’ll have the opportunity to train and develop into a Licensed Herbicide Applicator over time.

Through hands-on training, shadowing experienced technicians, and learning industry best practices, we will help you build the skills needed to advance into a higher-paying, more specialized role.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive company vehicles to transport crews and equipment to job sites
• Assist technicians with aeration, fertilization, and general lawn care support
• Load/unload equipment and keep trucks organized for daily routes
• Help crews stay on schedule and operate efficiently
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, professional work environment
• Shadow experienced technicians and learn application techniques and best practices

• Landscaping or outdoor work experience preferred, but not required (training provided)
• Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving company vehicles and transporting crews/equipment
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment
• Strong communication skills to work with team members and support daily operations
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 35–80 lbs regularly and handle physical job duties
