About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on CPA to support and elevate our finance function in a part-time capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a build-and-improve environment, bringing structure to accounting processes, strengthening audit readiness, and driving visibility into revenue cycle performance.
You will play a critical role in connecting accounting, audit, and RCM, ensuring our financial operations are accurate, compliant, and scalable.
What you'll do
- Accounting & Financial Operations
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific financial requirements.
- Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting.
- Reconcile revenue streams and ensure alignment between billing systems and financial records.
- Prepare documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure audit readiness across financial processes.
- Identify and address gaps in financial reporting, documentation, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory and financial compliance standards.
- Document and improve accounting workflows, policies, and SOPs.
Qualifications
- Active or inactive CPA license required.
- 4–8+ years of accounting experience, with a mix of audit/assurance and operational accounting.
- Experience working with multi-entity healthcare providers (e.g., clinics, telehealth, MSOs, or similar) strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), including billing, collections, and reimbursement processes.
- Experience supporting or leading audit preparation and working with external auditors.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks), Excel/Google Sheets, and AI assisted workflows (Claude/Gemini).
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
