About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on CPA to support and elevate our finance function in a part-time capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a build-and-improve environment, bringing structure to accounting processes, strengthening audit readiness, and driving visibility into revenue cycle performance.

You will play a critical role in connecting accounting, audit, and RCM, ensuring our financial operations are accurate, compliant, and scalable.

What you'll do

  • Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific financial requirements.
  • Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting.
  • Reconcile revenue streams and ensure alignment between billing systems and financial records.
Audit & Assurance
  • Prepare documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure audit readiness across financial processes.
  • Identify and address gaps in financial reporting, documentation, and compliance.
Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory and financial compliance standards.
  • Document and improve accounting workflows, policies, and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Active or inactive CPA license required.
  • 4–8+ years of accounting experience, with a mix of audit/assurance and operational accounting.
  • Experience working with multi-entity healthcare providers (e.g., clinics, telehealth, MSOs, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), including billing, collections, and reimbursement processes.
  • Experience supporting or leading audit preparation and working with external auditors.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks), Excel/Google Sheets, and AI assisted workflows (Claude/Gemini).
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
