About the Role
Rincon Consultants is seeking a skilled Data & Analytics Engineer with experience in Microsoft Fabric to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions. As part of the Enablement Team, this role will focus on the migration of enterprise data into MS Fabric, developing modern data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and enabling analytics and reporting across the organization. You will be responsible for managing business critical data engineering processes and data architecture solutions to enable analytical and reporting solutions by working closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable, and accessible data.

We enjoy coming together in person to collaborate, connect with teammates, and partner with clients. We may prioritize candidates who live within 50 miles of a Rincon office. Eligible office locations for this role include Carlsbad, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Riverside, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Microsoft Fabric
- Build and manage Lakehouse architectures leveraging OneLake and Delta tables
- Develop and optimize data models for reporting and analytics (Power BI integration)
- Ingest and integrate data from various sources (flat files, APIs, databases, cloud services)
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across the data platform
- Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions
- Implement CI/CD practices for data pipelines and infrastructure
- Document data architecture, pipelines, and workflows
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows, Notebooks)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or PySpark)
- Experience working with Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling)
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
- Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance and control
- Experience with Power BI (semantic models, dashboards, DAX)
- Knowledge of Delta Lake and Spark-based processing
- Experience with real-time or streaming data pipelines
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience with environmental or related subject data
The base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$115,000 plus a generous benefits program. Salary ranges are based on the market median of similar jobs, according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Base pay is determined based on internal equity and a candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
