About This Position

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Chief Architect / Solution Lead serves as the company’s senior technical authority for solution architecture,

innovation, and growth enablement. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of

differentiated, compliant, and customer-focused technical solutions across capture, proposal, and delivery

activities in support of federal clients and strategic growth objectives.

Acting as a hands-on technical leader, the Chief Architect / Solution Lead partners closely with Growth, Capture,

and Delivery leadership to translate customer requirements and mission needs into practical, scalable

architectures and compelling technical narratives. This position owns the company’s Innovation Lab, including the

development of prototypes and proofs-of-concept, and leads solution architects and technical contributors

(matrixed and dedicated) to drive technical excellence, competitive advantage, and measurable business growth.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: CORMAC’s President

Primary Working Relationships: Growth and Delivery organizations, CORMAC employees, strategic partners, and

internal and external customers

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Understand the Government Contracting (GovCon) industry and Federal RFP and proposal processes.

• Maintain deep knowledge of CORMAC’s capabilities, solutions, and active engagements.

• Continuously build and refine solutioning expertise aligned to CORMAC’s strategic capabilities.

• Lead solution development efforts in support of new business pursuits and organic growth.

• Develop fully compliant, compelling, and differentiated technical solutions during the capture phase.

• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to develop differentiated technical responses to government

RFPs.

o Establish and maintain a technology vendor partner ecosystem that functions as a force

multiplier for growth, leveraging both partner technologies and business development resources

to penetrate new accounts.

• Collaborate with the Growth team early in the acquisition lifecycle to influence customer perspectives

through points of view and solution concepts, positioning CORMAC capabilities into competitive bids.

• Support Growth leads in optimizing the opportunity pipeline and converging on informed bid/no-bid

decisions.

• Lead proposal solution efforts by analyzing RFP Statements of Work (SOWs) and developing creative,

cost-effective technical approaches.

• Lead the technical response to RFPs, including solution architectures, diagrams, and written technical

narratives.

• Participate in pre-RFP and customer engagement meetings to address technical questions and solution

concepts.

• Clearly interpret and articulate customer requirements as described in RFPs or Performance Work

Statements (PWS).

• Lead CORMAC’s innovation culture and solution development practices.

o Own the Innovation Pipeline, including the development and demonstration of prototypes and

proofs-of-concept.

o Collaborate with Delivery teams to introduce innovations and improvements that drive organic

growth.

o Demonstrate prototypes and proofs-of-concept to customers and prospective customers.

o Support product development initiatives under CREPES.AI.

• Lead and coordinate solution architects and technical contributors through CORMAC’s matrixed practice

area model in support of growth and innovation.

o Attract, develop, and retain technical talent required to execute CORMAC’s strategy.

o Align solution architectures and innovation investments with short- and long-term growth

objectives.

• Monitor marketplace and technology trends to inform technical vision and solution direction.

• Author and deliver technical presentations to customers and partners.

• Analyze alternative technical approaches and recommend the best solutions to meet business and

mission needs.

• Provide thought leadership through conference participation, speaking engagements, interviews, and

publications to enhance the CORMAC brand.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years of IT experience.

• At least 5 years of experience leading solution architecture and managing within a consulting

organization, with demonstrated technical leadership and technology selection expertise.

• Minimum of 2 years of Federal Government proposal writing experience.

• Forward-thinking technology leader with deep knowledge of IT trends and the ability to design solutions

addressing both current and future client needs through proven and emerging technologies.

• Experience designing and deploying cloud-based solutions, preferably in government or

contractor-managed environments.

• Expertise in software engineering, data management, data engineering, and data analytics.

• At least 3 years of AWS cloud experience.

• Experience with solution delivery capabilities such as cloud platforms, containers, and SaaS.

• Agile certification and/or practical Agile experience.

• DevOps and CI/CD experience.

• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and writing skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while

managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
