Description:

Position Summary

The Physician Recruiter is responsible for executing a high-impact, full-cycle recruitment strategy to attract, engage, and hire top-tier physicians across a multi-state MSO platform. This role partners closely with operations, clinical leadership, and executive stakeholders to ensure timely placement of providers aligned with organizational growth, productivity targets, and patient access needs. The ideal candidate operates with urgency, precision, and market intelligence, while delivering a best-in-class candidate experience and maintaining a strong pipeline of physician talent across key specialties.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full-Cycle Physician Recruitment

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for physicians across multiple specialties (e.g., Pain Management, Spine, Neurology, Behavioral Health)
  • Manage all phases of the recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, offer development, and onboarding support
  • Ensure a seamless, professional candidate experience from initial outreach through start date

2. Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Develop and maintain active pipelines of qualified physicians through proactive sourcing strategies
  • Build relationships with residency and fellowship programs, academic institutions, and specialty networks
  • Utilize multiple sourcing channels including direct outreach, professional associations, referrals, and recruitment platforms
  • Maintain a bench of “ready-now” and “future-fit” candidates for key markets

3. Market Intelligence & Positioning

  • Provide real-time market insights on physician supply, compensation trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Partner with leadership to position opportunities competitively within each market
  • Present opportunities to candidates with a clear, compelling value proposition aligned to organizational growth and stability

4. Stakeholder Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with SVPs/RVPs and Physician Leaders to understand hiring needs and timelines
  • Drive alignment on candidate profiles, compensation expectations, and hiring priorities
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline status, challenges, and market conditions

5. Offer Development & Negotiation

  • Coordinate and support the development of competitive, compliant physician offers in partnership with finance and leadership
  • Facilitate offer discussions, address candidate concerns, and manage negotiations to successful close
  • Ensure alignment with compensation models, productivity expectations, and organizational guidelines

6. Recruitment Operations & Process Excellence

  • Maintain accurate tracking of candidates, requisitions, and recruitment metrics within ATS/CRM systems
  • Ensure adherence to standardized recruitment workflows and timelines
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment efficiency, candidate quality, and time-to-fill

7. Onboarding Coordination & Transition Support

  • Partner with credentialing, HR, and operations teams to support a smooth onboarding process
  • Track progress from signed offer through start date to ensure readiness and minimize delays
  • Support early engagement strategies to reduce candidate fallout and ensure successful transition

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of physician recruitment experience, preferably within a multi-site healthcare organization or MSO
  • Proven success recruiting across multiple specialties and geographic markets
  • Strong understanding of physician compensation models and market dynamics
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority searches simultaneously
