Summary Objective

The Moonshine Foreman is responsible for driving plant-wide continuous improvement through rapid prototyping, fabrication, and implementation of process improvements. This role leads the Moonshine team in developing cost-effective solutions that enhance safety, quality, and productivity, while supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Fabricate tables, workstations, carts, tool stands, fixtures, ergonomic assists, safety devices, and other production tools
  • Collaborate with operators to develop improvement ideas and support takt time attainment
  • Modify, maintain, and improve existing equipment and tools
  • Support RIE/Kaizen events with hands-on fabrication and implementation of improvements
  • Apply Lean manufacturing tools and thinking to drive operational improvements
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, welders, brakes, lathes, and milling machines
  • Lead and coordinate fabrication team activities to support plant priorities
  • Promote safety-first mindset in all fabrication and improvement activities

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibility for the Moonshine team.

Work Location

This position will be working out of the manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a manufacturing and fabrication environment with frequent use of tools and equipment.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with potential overtime based on production needs.

Travel
Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary. Minimal Travel required.

Required Education and Experience.

  • 3+ years of experience as a welder, fabricator, or machinist; strong hands-on fabrication experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement environments.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently and in teams.

Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
