General Summary:

The Credit Analyst will perform various responsibilities including evaluating new and existing credit accounts, accounts receivables, collections along with other in-depth analysis.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Process new credit accounts, approvals, initial credit lines and future extensions
  • Pull and analyze credit agency reports
  • Manage the aging of assigned portfolio
  • Review accounts for order releasing
  • Communicate with customers regarding accounts
  • Research customer requests, issues, errors
  • Communicate with sales department regarding accounts
  • Perform credit reference inquiries
  • Reconciliation of credit and collection accounts
  • Process credit card/ACH payments, as needed
  • Process refund requests, as needed
  • Cross-train in cash application process
  • Aid with bankruptcies, as needed
  • Prepare reports, as needed
  • Ensure delinquency and charge off goals are met
  • Complete special projects or other duties as requested

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years previous experience in Credit/Collections and Accounts Receivable
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel software, previous sophisticated ERP system experience a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot and coordinate multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience with credit application processing and approval
  • Knowledge of credit reporting and proven credit analysis
  • Experience in handling bankrupt accounts
  • Ability to make independent credit decisions with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good telephone techniques.
  • Proven customer service skills and the ability to resolve problems and prevent customer dissatisfaction while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Commitment to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers with a good sense of urgency.
  • Proven data entry skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Must be collaborative, highly organized, detailed oriented and have successfully proven the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Ability to think critically and bring fresh perspective and ideas to the team.

  • Effectively represents the company and responsive to the needs of internal and external customers.

Working Conditions:

The work of this position is performed in a controlled office environment. This position requires the ability to work under pressure and communicate with a diverse population including other employees, customers, vendors, etc. This position also requires prolonged periods of sitting in a regular seated position as well as the use of general office equipment including phones, printers, computers, (mouse, keyboard, etc.)
