JOB DESCRIPTION
The Data Engineer Senior will support the USASOC OTA Program in Fayetteville, NC (hybrid) or Remote, enabling U.S. Army's 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) and its subordinate units with resilient, scalable, and mission-ready data capabilities.

As a Data Engineer Senior, you will support operationally critical data efforts for special operations teams working in dynamic, distributed, and high-tempo environments. You will design and maintain data pipelines that feed intelligence, operational planning, and mission analysis systems - ensuring the force has timely, accurate, and trusted data. You will collaborate closely with analysts, planners, and technical stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions across the command.

The likely salary range for this position is $93,925 - $127,075. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
- Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture supporting mission-critical workflows.
- Develop and conduct tests to ensure data solutions meet documented user requirements.
- Analyze operational IT environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions to moderately complex problems.
- Collaborate with data science teams to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes supporting special operations.
- Work with mission stakeholders - including operators, analysts, planners, Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams - to resolve data-related technical issues and support infrastructure needs.
- May coach and review the work of less experienced professionals; may serve as a team or task lead.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Ability to analyze technical environments and recommend solutions to moderately complex challenges.
- Experience integrating data science models and algorithms into automated workflows.
- Strong ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical mission partners.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Comfortable supporting fast-paced, sensitive, or distributed operations common to special operations forces.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with Palantir Foundry (data pipelines, ontology modeling, Code Workbooks, operational decision tooling).
