This role offers the chance to maintain and optimize network infrastructure across multiple remote sites, ensuring reliable connectivity and operational efficiency. You will troubleshoot, configure, and monitor network devices, supporting both local and remote users in dynamic environments. The position requires proactive incident management, performance analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance network stability and security. You will also assist in configuring VPNs, firewalls, and other critical network components, while adhering to organizational security standards. - Install, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and collaborate with network architects to optimize operations
- Coordinate with external service providers to manage network circuits and VPNs across multiple sites
- Respond to network incidents, restore services, and manage lifecycle of network assets
- Ensure compliance with security standards, patch schedules, and operational procedures
- Use network analysis tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds to diagnose and resolve issues
- Collaborate with system and network engineers on project planning and implementation efforts
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in IT or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of network administration or engineering experience
- Valid Security+ and Cisco CCNA certifications
- Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
- Proficiency with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, proxy services, and network troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Cisco firewalls, switches (including Nexus 7k, 2960), F5 load balancers, and VPN configurations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently or in a team, and handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and network monitoring software
