General Job Description

Dogwood Industries is seeking an experienced Procurement & Sourcing Manager to join our team. A successful candidate will ensure reliable, efficient and cost-effective flow of materials to support uninterrupted operations. This role is responsible for building strong vendor partnerships, developing efficient sourcing strategies, driving continuous improvement across procurement, sourcing, and planning, and supporting production performance while reducing the overall cost of goods sold. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, possess strong time management, problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a proactive, solution-minded approach.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with key vendors to drive long-term value
• Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, favorable terms, and risk-balanced agreements.
• Manage procurement resources to meet project delivery schedules
• Analyze material usage across Dogwood’s products to identify critical schedule, technical, and cost drivers
• Ensure all purchasing activities are executed in accordance with Dogwood policies, contractual obligations, and legal standards/requirements
• Oversee issuance of purchase orders and expedited materials
• Collaborate with the project and planning teams to drive successful project execution
• Monitor and manage vendor performance using KPIs, and evaluate, qualify, and onboard new vendors
• Report expected cost to complete, budget analysis, and cost comparisons
• Partner with planning, production, and inventory to align demand forecasts with sourcing strategies
• Identify, escalate, and resolve supply chain risks and performance discrepancies
• Develop contingency plans and alternate strategies for critical materials
• Partner with accounting to ensure timely and correct payment of vendors
• Map, document, and continuously improve procurement and sourcing processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and compliance
• Ensure accurate procurement data within ERP/MRP systems
• Other duties as assigned

· Proven leadership experience with direct reports

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Confident in maintaining vendor partnerships and conducting supplier negotiations

· Excellent organizational and planning skills

· Detail-oriented and able to extract critical information from specifications

· Proficiency in an ERP system for executing daily tasks, reporting, and data accuracy

· Ability to read and understand technical information to ensure accuracy of purchase orders

· Proficiency in the use of Office, SharePoint, and Adobe applications; able to adapt to purchasing software specific to Dogwood

· Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

This position requires moderate physical activity, primarily in an office environment but may include visits to the manufacturing facilities or jobsites to collaborate and inspect materials. To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly seated at a computer desk with the option to stand, is utilizing the telephone frequently, and participating in meetings with colleagues, clients, third party vendors, etc. There are stairs in the office. In the factory setting, you may inspect and handle materials and be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.

Compensation

$98,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location

This is an onsite position at the Dogwood Everett Factory at 3200 35th Ave NE, Everett, WA 98201. Travel to Dogwood’s Bothell Corporate office or Sedro-Woolley Factory office, as needed.
