The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day processing of invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role plays a key part in supporting the resort’s financial operations and requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Process high volumes of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts; resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries professionally
- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure accounts are current
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and approvals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in accounts payable, accounting, or finance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in hospitality or resort accounting
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as DPO and Sage Intacct
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to multiple accounting systems, including DPO and Sage Intacct
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, data management)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance is a critical expectation for this role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information at all times
This is a full-time, on-site position in a professional office setting within a dynamic four-season resort environment. Occasional extended hours may be required during peak seasons or month-end closing periods.
