Electrician in Elora, Ontario at Polycorp Ltd

Polycorp Ltd. is the industry leader in the design and manufacture of engineered polymer products for a global customer base in the Transportation, Mining and Protective Linings industries. We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position in our Maintenance Department.

Based in Elora, Ontario, Polycorp offers employees competitive compensation, excellent benefits and a collaborative team environment. The Company is less than a 30 minute drive from Guelph or Kitchener-Waterloo.

Responsible for efficient and safe performance of facility, including all plant equipment and related functions by completing corrective and preventative maintenance activities.

DUTIES:

• Respond in a timely manner to machine breakdown to maximize equipment uptime
• Respond in a timely manner to emergency “call in” for facility and equipment repairs
• Maintain plant electrical cabinets, motors, brushes, disconnects, lighting as required
• Complete prescribed corrective and preventative maintenance as assigned
• Maintain electrical supplies
• Assist with engineering and continuous improvement development of electrical standards
• Work with other contractors as required
• Keep work area orderly and clean
• Manage and estimate various projects and scope of work
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Ability to teach, guide and lead the service team
• Ability to handle multiple contracts while under pressure
• Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner

REQUIREMENTS

• 442 A electrical license
• 5 years experience as an Electrician

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLES:

• Electrical / Mechanical troubleshooting
• PLC programming
