Brookside Country Club is looking for Reception / Front Desk & Marketing Assistants who understand that first impressions matter. This role sits at the front of the Club’s daily rhythm, greeting members and guests, supporting internal communication, helping with marketing details, and making sure the Club feels polished, organized, and connected.

About Brookside Country Club

Brookside Country Club is a private club in Canton, Ohio where hospitality, professionalism, and personal service are part of every department. Our members expect an experience that feels warm, attentive, and well cared for, whether they are arriving for dinner, calling with a question, reading a Club email, checking the website, or seeing what is happening at Brookside on social media.

The front desk and communications support team plays an important role in that experience. It is often the first voice a member hears, the first face a guest sees, and one of the behind-the-scenes forces helping our events, dining, and Club activities look and feel well-presented.

The Role

We’re hiring for a flexible front desk and marketing support role that may be structured as full-time or part-time, depending on the right candidates and the needs of the Club.

Brookside may hire multiple part-time team members, a combination of part-time and full-time team members, or shape the schedule around candidates who bring the right mix of hospitality, organization, dependability, and communication skills.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being helpful, organized, creative, and connected to people. You will greet members and guests, answer and direct phone calls, assist with office projects, support social media and website updates, help prepare marketing emails, and create member-facing materials that reflect Brookside’s standards.

What You’ll Own

  • Greet members, guests, vendors, and visitors in a warm, polished, and professional manner
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls with courtesy and accuracy
  • Provide routine information about Club hours, dining, events, directions, and general services as directed
  • Receive and route messages, deliveries, mail, and visitor inquiries appropriately
  • Keep the reception area and front office neat, organized, and welcoming
  • Assist with social media posts, event promotion, photo organization, and basic content updates
  • Support website updates, Club announcements, marketing emails, and member communication materials
  • Help prepare, proofread, format, print, and distribute flyers, table cards, signage, menus, promotional pieces, and other Club materials
  • Assist with menu updates and printed materials for the Food and Beverage team
  • Proofread member-facing materials for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and presentation
  • Support the Member Communications Coordinator and assigned members of the executive team with clerical and administrative projects
  • Help maintain organized digital and physical files, office records, templates, and marketing materials
  • Support internal communication, meeting preparation, event materials, and department needs as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding Club business, member information, employee matters, and internal communications

What We’re Looking For

  • A warm, professional, and welcoming personality
  • Someone who enjoys both people-facing hospitality and behind-the-scenes detail work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in reception, administrative support, hospitality, private club, hotel, marketing support, social media, communications, or a professional office setting preferred
  • Comfort assisting with social media posts, website updates, email communications, flyers, and printed materials
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with proofreading, formatting, spelling, grammar, and presentation
  • Comfort using email, word processing, standard office software, printers, copiers, and general office systems
  • Someone who is organized, dependable, accurate, and calm when priorities shift
  • The ability to assist members and guests with courtesy, poise, and discretion
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to support multiple departments when needed
  • Professional appearance, sound judgment, and pride in representing Brookside Country Club
