Accountabilities:

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power core insurance platform features and customer experiences.
Develop internal tools and systems that improve engineering productivity, business workflows, and operational safety.
Integrate with external services such as payments, document processing, claims systems, and real-time data providers.
Contribute to architectural evolution, including decisions around microservices, system design patterns, deployment strategies, and infrastructure improvements.
Participate in system modernization efforts, ensuring legacy components align with current scalability and performance goals.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, data, and engineering to deliver reliable, production-grade systems.
Provide technical mentorship, share expertise, and support team members in solving complex backend challenges.

Requirements:

4+ years of professional experience building production-grade backend systems in web-based environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Go, including willingness to complete a technical coding challenge in Go.
Proven track record of improving system stability, scalability, and performance in business-critical applications.
Ability to design and deliver complete backend systems independently with minimal supervision.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and cloud infrastructure concepts.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience collaborating in agile environments with daily stand-ups, code reviews, and iterative delivery cycles.
