Compliance Advertising Review Analyst

This role plays a key part in ensuring that all advertising and marketing communications across digital and social media channels comply with financial industry regulations and internal compliance standards. You will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and validating marketing content to ensure accuracy, fairness, and regulatory adherence before publication. Working closely with marketing teams, financial advisors, and compliance leadership, you will help shape compliant messaging that supports business growth while protecting regulatory integrity. The position requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of financial services regulations, and the ability to interpret complex compliance guidelines in a practical way. You will also act as a liaison between compliance and marketing teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient approval processes. This is a highly collaborative role in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, judgment, and consistency are essential. Your work will directly support the integrity and trustworthiness of client-facing communications.

Accountabilities:
  • Review all advertising, marketing materials, websites, and social media content to ensure compliance with applicable SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate marketing content for accuracy, fairness, and proper representation of services, fees, and investment strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate potentially misleading or non-compliant content in collaboration with compliance leadership.
  • Maintain and improve the advertising review workflow to ensure efficient, consistent, and timely approvals.
  • Partner with marketing teams and advisors to provide clear compliance guidance on campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Support the archiving and monitoring of digital content through third-party compliance systems.
  • Communicate effectively with compliance leadership regarding findings, risks, and review outcomes.
  • Contribute to additional compliance-related tasks as assigned, supporting broader regulatory and governance objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred, or equivalent compliance experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in advertising review or compliance within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of SEC, FINRA, and Department of Labor (DOL) regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across marketing and compliance teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with compliance or marketing systems (e.g., Saifr, Hearsay, FMG Suite, Seismic, MirrorWeb) is a plus.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
