Qualifications

We are currently seeking an Associate Project Director to join our Construction Management Team supporting our Federal Market clients.

The Associate Project Director opportunity is for federal & military clients in our growing federal markets. RS&H is fortunate to have a wealth of project opportunities through our multiple long-term consulting contracts for our federal, military, and NASA clients. Our projects range from small renovations for military clients to large buildings for federal clients and include both national and international projects in locations such as Japan, Europe, and the Middle East. This position is intended to be a career-building opportunity, as the successful candidate will be asked to grow their project management skills into comprehensive client management.

While federal and military experience is a plus, we are focused on your leadership and client service capabilities in the delivery of challenging projects for a range of needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse list of projects ranging from schools to hangars to infrastructure
  • Focus on client relationships in addition to projects
  • Will cover new IDIQ contracts for the Department of Defense
  • Manage and support a multi-disciplined team from design through construction
  • Utilize and encourage the best uses of design technologies for presentation and production purposes
  • PM will engage in speaking and writing opportunities to assist in positioning RS&H as a thought leader while maintaining involvement in key business organizations
  • Collaborate with national managers and other project managers concerning budget and staffing projections
  • Support our marketing team and help with large project pursuits through relationship development and pursuit & acquisition planning

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 12 years relevant experience, including at least five years of direct project management experience.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, commitment to follow through, and ability to work independently following general direction and oversight from leadership. Also requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and assignments.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and understand people in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must possess the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrate professional courage, and guide and influence others.
  • Must have knowledge of the firm goals and strategies, professional demeanor, and ethical standards to serve as the
    primary source of all information concerning the project and RS&H.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Interior Designer, and/or Licensed General Contractor.
  • PMP certification.
