Job Description

Resident Care Team Member – Be the Heart of Compassionate Support

Location: Rockbridge Oaks Senior Living

Are you passionate about helping others live their best life? At Rockbridge Oaks Senior Living, a Thrive Senior Living community, we are looking for a caring, dependable, and motivated Resident Care Team Member to join our dedicated care team. In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily living activities, promote their independence, and help create a warm, supportive environment where every resident feels valued, respected, and cared for.

What You’ll Do – Your Purpose in Action

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. • Recognize and promptly respond to residents’ needs, providing compassionate and attentive care. • Support residents’ dignity and independence while ensuring safety and comfort. • Document care, changes in condition, and interactions accurately and in a timely manner. • Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and families to ensure continuity of care. • Encourage resident engagement in community activities and wellness programs. • Observe residents for any signs of distress, health changes, or safety concerns, and report promptly to supervisors. • Assist with meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry duties as needed. • Maintain clean, organized, and safe resident living areas in accordance with community standards. • Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy policies at all times. • Support new resident move-ins and help with transitions to make residents feel at home. • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and Thrive’s commitment to excellence in all interactions. • Perform other duties as assigned by your leader.

What You Bring – Your Skills and Heart

• High school diploma or GED required. • Previous experience in caregiving, assisted living, home health, or healthcare preferred.

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a genuine desire to serve others. • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and work efficiently under pressure. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness. • Ability to lift, move, or assist residents safely as required. • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Commitment to Thrive’s values of respect, purpose, and connection.
