Set-Up Technician
Location: Johnson Creek, WI
Shift: 2nd shift (2:15pm to 10:45pm) Monday through Friday

Responsibilities- Perform the machining of coupling nuts, including the setup and operation of automatic screw machines
- Other duties may be assigned
- Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within and between departments
- Keeps supervisors aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting supervisors’ knowledge, action and/or resolution
- Ensures proper, accurate records are maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility
- Operate and setup automatic screw machines
- Plan and make multi-tool setups
- Perform functions in a timely, safe, and cost effective manner
- Make and grind tools as required
- Insures first piece inspection is performed
- Inspect product with proper measuring equipment
- Sharpen tools with grinder
- Ensure work area is kept clean and safe
- Trains and may assist and/or perform work of junior level operators
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- High school diploma or equivalent 4 to 6 years experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
- Possess sound working knowledge of machine shop practices for level of duties performed
- Able to read and work from prints, etc
- Able to use micrometers, calipers, precision measuring and inspection tools
- Analytical, problem solving, training, and follow through skills
