USAC Channel and Operations Director

This senior leadership role is focused on driving channel strategy and commercial operations performance across complex healthcare distribution ecosystems, including dental, orthodontics, DSOs, and institutional partners. The position plays a critical role in accelerating profitable growth by strengthening distributor performance, improving operational efficiency, and enabling seamless execution across sales, marketing, and supply chain functions. It requires a strong balance of strategic leadership and operational execution, with responsibility for both long-term channel development and day-to-day performance management. The role also involves leading key account and non-traditional channel strategies while ensuring alignment across multiple internal stakeholders. As a people leader, this position is responsible for building and developing high-performing teams and fostering accountability across the commercial organization. It is a highly cross-functional role with direct impact on customer experience, revenue growth, and operational excellence.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute channel strategy to drive growth and performance across distributors, DSOs, and indirect sales channels
  • Lead business reviews with channel partners, establish KPIs, and drive performance improvement actions
  • Develop and implement channel programs in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams
  • Remove operational barriers impacting sales execution and improve end-to-end customer and field experience
  • Oversee commercial operations processes including forecasting inputs, pricing support, ERP alignment, and service performance
  • Manage key accounts and non-traditional channels such as government and institutional partners
  • Ensure alignment across cross-functional stakeholders to deliver consistent channel execution and partner engagement
  • Lead operational governance, compliance with commercial policies, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team with clear accountability and performance expectations
  • Support long-term planning and strategic decision-making related to channel operations and commercial effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in channel management, sales operations, or commercial operations
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams in complex commercial environments
  • Strong experience working with distributor networks, DSOs, or other indirect channel ecosystems
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes through channel and partner strategies
  • Strong understanding of commercial operations functions such as forecasting, CRM, analytics, and pricing support
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across sales, marketing, and supply chain teams
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to build and interpret performance dashboards and KPIs
  • Experience improving operational efficiency and customer experience through process optimization
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred, along with experience in dental, orthodontics, or medical device industries being a plus
